At 1001, Techniplex - 2, Mumbai IN, early risers commute on a shuttle ride catching up on emails and reading the news. As the day begins, the Enago editorial team grabs bacon and eggs, cookies and milk at the cafeteria to discuss the progress on manuscript development in their daily editorial meetings. They are a bunch of science lovers who go on to talk about the science in swirling the honey on the bottom of the tea while leaving the cafeteria. But wait, the cafeteria is also filled with wontons and dumplings, spinach side dishes, stuffed buns and pancakes.

Just as the day is sweeping, our colleague from HR carries a bouquet of welcome greeting cards, notepads, ID cards, and pens and some goodies to the learning room to get new joiners up-to-speed. She is conducting her 50th induction program at Crimson today.

Meanwhile, just around the corner in the multimedia compartment, a webinar on open access is being shot by the Enago Academy team. Awani Vaid* directs those! She leads most special projects in product innovation. One is Open Access Journal Finder.

It is afternoon – Potluck is being appreciated at 1010, same building – the marketing team has just completed their daily To-Do scroll meeting and decided to ideate an upcoming campaign over lunch. Things on the 10th floor are different – these people are supabusy; their desktops are stuffed; they are mid-meeting multitaskers and data jugglers – they are marketers here.

The day dawns as ideas swirl around in the head of a Ulatus Champion who relaxes on the soothing recliner chair in the Read Room. The Read Room is a library sort of a thing where you can read, think and live as long as you want.

Let’s pack up! Tonight I am joining my marketing team on our monthly dinner.
