About Sharad

As the founder and CEO of Crimson, Sharad is a passionate entrepreneur who left a flourishing career in Chartered Accountancy to pursue his goal of realizing an institution fueled by spirited thinkers and academics like himself. As the leader, he has provided the vision, strategic nous, and business acumen necessary to build Crimson from the ground up into the global behemoth it is today. His endeavor to consistently pursue new opportunities has ensured that Crimson has never remained stagnant and become a multicultural hub with some of the best global talent in the industry. Sharad holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Mumbai.

About Shilpa

Shilpa currently heads Ulatus, the translation division, at Crimson. She is known for her keen sense of identifying new opportunities and combining innovation with strategic ability to establish Ulatus as the preferred localization partner for people and businesses worldwide. A qualified Chartered Accountant, she has previously served as the Assistant Vice President for HSBC Treasury. Shilpa is a recipient of the ‘Best Woman Entrepreneur Award 2017’ by Golden Bridge, San Francisco.

At Crimson I have learnt more, grown more, dreamt more, done more and feel completely satisfied at the end of the day. I feel there is nothing you cannot do especially if you are around the right people.

About Yuko

Yuko Furuya brings 13 years of industry expertise and is currently the CEO of Crimson Interactive K.K., Japan. She has been with Crimson since 2007 and has previously worked with Kadokawa Shoten Publishing Co. Ltd and The Asahi Shimbun Newspaper Company, Japan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology with a specialization in Indian culture and society. Yuko has a penchant for travelling to Asian countries and possesses a deep knowledge of Asian markets.

I have been a part of Crimson for a long time and it has been a superb journey. I believe that growing professionally with a progressive company is reflective of self-development and a challenging spirit. I enjoy being part of the Crimson atmosphere that runs on creative enthusiasm to succeed.

About Rajiv

As Vice President – Global Operations, Rajiv oversees Editing, Project Management, Client Servicing, and Sales at Enago, and is responsible for delivering optimal client and customer experience for the brand. Prior to Crimson, he worked with a leading financial consulting firm as part of their Global Client Services team. He managed several high value client accounts, including Fortune 500 companies, within banking, telecom, and retail domains. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Madras, India.

Crimson offered me unique platform to spearhead Client Operations across 89 countries thus exposing me to diverse customer behaviors & background.

Sanjay Kotak, Vice President - Technology

About Sanjay

Sanjay spearheads development of niche products and process automation initiatives at Crimson. He has over 18 years’ experience in managing client expectations, projects and delivery for B2B as well as B2C companies across multiple domains, including financial services, healthcare, insurance, higher education, and technology. Sanjay has a bachelor’s degree from Mumbai University and a management diploma from NMIMS.

About Mingfang

Mingfang leads the company’s efforts in China to build a strong author-centric brand, committed to helping academics in the country achieve publishing excellence. He possesses 16 years in the STM publishing industry, including a stint as the Editor-In-Chief at IOP Publishing. Mingfang obtained his PhD in fusion plasma physics from Tsinghua University, China, in 1995, followed by post-doctoral research in China, Israel, and Sweden. He has had over 30 research papers published in major physics journals, all before 2002.

Crimson is like such a nice family for everyone to dream big and achieve big through creation, collaboration and idea share. And a unique platform and opportunity for me to continue support the research communities to advance their science goal through STM publishing.

Kushal heads Voxtab (Transcription, Captioning & Subtitling) and Publication Support divisions at Crimson, handling overall strategy and operations. Prior to joining Crimson, as the Editorial Operations Manager at a UK-based publishing firm, he was responsible for launching a portfolio of books and video products every month. His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA (Strategy & General Management) from Strathclyde Business School, Scotland.

About Anupama

Anupama has been a part of Crimson almost right since its inception, and brings a unique cross-functional industry perspective. She has been responsible for planning, conception, and execution of department-wise processes as well as several organization-wide strategies, bringing Crimson's objectives and vision to fruition. By qualification, Anupama is a licensed physical therapist, having graduated from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. Anupama has previously worked with top Mumbai hospitals, including Asian Heart Institute.

The STM industry holds great promise and is relatively untapped in India. Crimson has not only provided me with insights into this industry but also awarded me with opportunities to interact with different people with varied interests who work together cohesively, in a knowledge-driven environment, to achieve one unified professional goal-to promote academic excellence.

About Preetesh

As the AGM at Ulatus, the translation division at Crimson, Preetesh is responsible for the smooth operational functioning of all its aspects. Preetesh began at Crimson as a Client Servicing Associate and now handles a language-agnostic profile, requiring him to manage intercultural dynamics and develop systems and strategies to deliver value for clients. Prior to joining Crimson, he worked in Accenture as a Client Manager. Preetesh holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Mumbai.

At Crimson I have grown and learnt a lot at every level. It has not only taught me to work with high values but also how to carry these values in my daily life. It’s amazing and I am lucky to be a part of this awesome organization. This is the reason why I see that customers are happy working with Crimson as well.

About Indu

Indu leads the client servicing unit at Enago, playing a key role in delivering the outstanding author experience that the company’s customers have come to expect. She joined Crimson in 2011 as a Business Associate and has worked her way to where she is now. Indu began her career with Wipro as a call center associate and subsequently worked with reputed IT companies, including Mphasis. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University.

Crimson for me is a place which has helped me understand my own potential. It helps you evolve everyday as a person, leader and mentor. Each day is a different with a lot of learning.

About Nicola

Nicola is a marine zoologist by education. She pursued zoology from Mithibai College, Mumbai and passed out in the year 2008. Crimson is her first job opportunity, and she has neither felt the need nor inclination to look for other avenues. She joined as a Trainee Research Editor in 2008 and moved on to handle all the editing teams, in addition to stints managing other teams. Nicola now heads Human Resources at Crimson and is very contented with her growth thus far.

For me, Crimsonites are “Family” and Crimson is my “home away from home.”
